I need to share some things.
A couple of years ago I started working on building websites to make money. After a while, I learnt that I was doing something called internet marketing
Like me you learnt some other stuff. You found that you need traffic to your websites and you need to change visitors from interested readers to action takers.
It is not easy
We are getting all this stuff right… Yes?
OK, so why aren’t we feeling like we are getting richer?
I looked around for solutions. As you and I both know there are plenty of folks willing to sell a ’secret’ – yup, the ones that will be shared only with me and a million other people. All sorts of traffic schemes – bars on screens, traffic exchanges, funky popups and a load of other toys and tricks.
None of them will change your business because they don’t hit the right buttons. They fiddle with the margins but don’t address the basic issues.
The truth is that, in reality, getting traffic building right IS easy!
We need backlinks and traffic. Just like always!
If enough folks know where to find our pages and we tell the people what we offer we will get the backlinks and traffic that lead to free traffic generation.
BUT I found that the crazy money suckers and time eating toys were not the way to succeed. All that I really needed was a way to build backlinks and traffic in ‘normal’ ways.
I threw out the silly toys and went back to basics and this is what I did:

Nothing is perfect though.
I was spending a lot of time on marketing my sites. Webmasters were often suspicious of my attempts to exchange content – their fingers burned too many times by dishonest characters.
It took AGES to find good partners for link exchanges and the blog commenting was still a useful technique but too many spam artists and ‘no follow’ links reduced its effectiveness and sucked away at my time.
Then, back in January some pieces came together. A new membership site opened up to just a few members. The new site was from the guys behind PortalFeeder – guys whose names I already knew: Jason Potash, Jason Katzenback and Marc Quarles. Each name was a trusted man behind a range of quality products and each was standing behind this new concept, a service that rocked my world.
What were the guys doing? What was their shtick?
Actually the offer was not so new – and yet it was unique and brand new at the same time.
They used the basic ingredients of success – yes, you guessed: backlinks and traffic.
Taking the fundamental techniques of content exchanges, link exchanges, social methods (Web 2.0) and article submissions and remade them so that we could do the jobs we needed and at a speed that made the process viable all over again.

Each of these creative method of marketing has its on benefits and down falls. However, in general cases most can bring great success to an online business.
First let’s understand what internet marketing truly means- Internet marketing is when one utilize one or all of the tools via to grow and promote their company. These tools are a form of advertisment utilizing the world wide web.
Pay Per Click
The top two major pay per click companies are Yahoo Overture and Google Adwords. Unsuprisingly, Google and Yahoo produce the top levels of pay per click. You can combine the revenue of all other pay per click companies and it still would not compromise Yahoo and Google. This is because they both work with most search engines which gives them better placement. Nevertheless, there are several smaller and maybe less expensive companies that can still get the job done. The only down fall with smaller and less reputable companies is that guaranteed higher rankings within search engines is pretty much not guaranteed. Though, smaller companies are a great starting point for someone with less money to spend on marketing campaigns.
The are a few downfalls with pay per click and the biggest is that not all consumers click on these banner ads. Some may even fine them annoying.
Search Engine Marketing
Search Engine Marketing may be one of the most popular forms of internet marketing. Search Engine Optimization is a sure fire way to get your website noticed in search engines and if your website is search engine ready and friendly there should be know problem reaching the top of every search engine. However, SEM is not to be taken lightly. This is a job for the pro’s. For one: it can be an expensive part of your marketing campaign and if the techniques are not implemented correctly not only will your website not be recognized by search engines; but, all your invested money is now down the drain. Make sure to be well educated or hire a professional to handle your SEM/SEO.
Email Marketing
Email Marketing may not be a favorite among most advertiser. Most Email Marketing campaigns may be viewed as spam and not even recognized by its intended target. However, with a great sales pitch and less aggression it can as well be a useful source of internet marketing.
Affiliate Marketing
It is well known that having a web page with sophisticated SEO encryptions will get your page noticed and increase traffic, there is another way as well that has somewhat become a has been.
Affiliate programs are still a great way to get your page noticed. Though now it is playing secondary to Pay Per Clicks which works in a somewhat similar manner. However, there are different types of Affiliate programs some that are free and also work.
Though these few are just an outline of all the many tricks to produce and generate traffic to a online business or any other type of website they are also the marketing strategies that usually cost a pretty penny and a website owner should be fully knowledgeable on how each work in order to make the best of his dollar.

Another search method that I have found extremely productive is searching by the type of classified ad form. For example, one of the most popular free ad software programs that people purchase and use on their websites is e-classifieds. You can do a search for
“Free Classified Ads – e-classifieds” which will produce many good ad sites that use the same form. I did this and made a group for them in Adwizard. It turned out to be one of my most productive free ad site groups. It’s also a lot easier to place ads this way since the form that you fill out is basically the same at each different ad site.
Writing a Great Classified Ad:
Writing a great classified ad is easy because effective classified ads are very simple. The following is a classified ad I have been using very successfully for over 2 years to recruite new affiliates to a work-at-home program:

You can see how simple this ad is, but you can also see that it’s very enticing because it mentions a lot of benefits without exaggerating. Here are 3 simple rules for writing your own enticing ads:
1. Use a short title or headline that gets right to the point. A lot of free ad sites list only the titles. The viewer then clicks on an interesting title which takes them to the complete ad. The title or headline is the most important part of your classified ad!
2. The body of your ad should also be brief and most important of all, believable! Do NOT make exaggerated claims and try to stay away from promising how much a person can make with your offer.
3. Always ask for action at the end of the ad such as: Visit our website today!
